Why I went…

The occasion was an annual Wordsworth Summer Conference. I am not sure which year. This museum contains a substantial collection of manuscripts and printed matter associated with William Wordsworth and other writers of the period. Dove Cottage is on the same site.

What I got out of the experience…

To visit the Wordsworth Museum is to enter the world of William Wordsworth and his contemporaries. To work with the manuscripts is to engage with the Poet’s creative processes.
